Head to Head Qualifier

Our first ever Ninja vs. Ninja competition!

We have worked with the WNL to provide a special dual qualifier Head to Head competition! Saturday will be an area qualifier, followed by the Regional qualifier on Sunday. This is a unique opportunity to qualify for Head to Head Worlds, which will take place in Greensboro this June along with the rest of the World Championships event! Please take a moment to read a couple of notes regarding this competition:

  • The ticket cost for this competition is combined ($150 for both days).
  • The top 32 in every division from Saturday will qualify to Sunday, then top 32 from Sunday qualify to Worlds. We do not anticipate having more than 32 in any division, so most likely everyone that competes will qualify. You will also have to complete the first obstacle of the course to qualify, as stated by WNL rules. We will make the first obstacle nearly impossible to fail to avoid any mishaps.
  • The format will be WNL Flow Course rules, but the courses will generally be on the easier side. They will also be designed with speed in mind, and fairly low time caps.

Tentative Competition Schedule

Please be sure you arrive ON-TIME! Due to the nature of H2H Double Elimination brackets, we cannot accommodate any late competitors after the brackets are set. Final schedule will be sent out the day before the competition

Kids 6-8 Male/Female, Mature Kids 9-10 Male/Female (est. 20 competitors)

  • Check-in/warmup: 7:30am-8:00am
  • Walkthrough: 8:00-8:20am
  • Course Runs: 8:40-9:40am
  • Awards 9:45-9:55am

Preteens 11-12 Male/Female (est. 25 competitors)

  • Check-in/warmup: 9:40am-10:10am
  • Walkthrough: 10:10-10:30am
  • Course Runs: 10:50am-12:10pm
  • Awards 12:15-12:20pm

Teen 13-14 Female, Young Adults 15-17 Female, Adults 18-39 Male/Female, Masters 40+ Male/Female (est. 25 competitors)

  • Check-in/warmup: 12:10pm-12:40pm
  • Walkthrough: 12:40-1:00pm
  • Course Runs: 1:20pm-2:30pm
  • Awards 2:35pm-2:45pm

Teens 13-14 Male, Young Adults 15-17 Male, Elite Male/Female (est. 30 competitors)

  • Check-in/warmup: 2:45pm-3:15pm
  • Walkthrough: 3:15-3:35pm
  • Course Runs: 3:55-5:25pm
  • Awards 5:30-5:40pm

Redemption Time: 5:45-6:45pm

Competition cost is $70/participant, and free for spectators. Prizes and/or medals are awarded to the top three male and female athletes within each age group. Run times for age/gender divisions are subject to change.

Ready to register? Please follow these steps:

  1. For first-time WNL competitors, go to the Ninja Works website to register for your Athlete ID: https://timing.ninjaworks.com/accounts/register/
  2. Sign the WNL waiver here.
  3. For returning WNL competitors, be sure you have signed the current season waiver (you will need your Athlete ID, which you can search for here)
  4. Click the button below to reserve yourself for the competition – Remember, the participant’s age as of Jan. 1, 2027 determines which age category they fall into. Athletes ages 13+ may choose to compete in Elite, however, they must stay in that division for the remainder of the season.

Coaches

Per WNL rules, all coaches at this competition are REQUIRED to have an up-to-date WNL Floor Certification. At the time of registration, you will need to enter your coach name and coach Ninjaworks ID. It is your responsibility to communicate with your coach regarding their certification status. We are not able to follow up with every coach that may or may not be certified prior to the event. Upon arrival, certified coaches will receive a coach wristband for the event. Only certified coaches will be permitted on the floor, including rules walkthroughs and the athlete’s run. This includes parents and/or friends, even if you are not coaching.

The steps to complete this include:

  • Signing up for a Ninjaworks account, and adding a profile photo.
  • Completing the Floor Certification training and exam. Cost is $49.99 for new coaches, with discount if you’re recertifying.
  • Completing the Abuse Prevention Training through Safesport. Cost is $19, with discount if recertifying.
  • Background check via SportsEngine. Cost is $25.50 for US residents (good for five years), or $155 for international residents (good for 10 years).

A certified coach must complete ALL of the steps to be certified. If any of these steps are not completed, it will result in a status of “Pending” in Ninjaworks, which is not an acceptable status to receive a coach wristband.

Background checks can take additional time to clear, so be sure you complete all of this at least two weeks ahead of the competition to ensure you’re cleared.
